The Eagleton-NJPRO Business and Policy Undergraduate Research Award is an endowed award, established by the New Jersey Policy Research Organization (NJPRO) Foundation Inc. at the Eagleton Institute of Politics to support Rutgers undergraduate student research focused on how state or federal politics and public policy impact New Jersey’s business community and state and local economies. "The Institute's programs help students better understand the American political system. Thanks to the generosity of NJPRO, Rutgers undergraduate students will have the opportunity to make connections between politics, public policy, business, and economics through faculty-supervised research," said Eagleton Director John J. Farmer, Jr. “NJPRO is excited to partner with the Eagleton Institute to establish an undergraduate research award in business and policy to continue the think tank’s legacy of cutting-edge research on public policy impacting New Jersey’s business community and economy,” said Tyler Seville, NJPRO Trustee and Eagleton Undergraduate Associates Class of 2013. “As an Eagleton alumnus, I am proud we have the opportunity to strengthen an education institution that has given me so much," Seville explained. "I feel as though I have come full circle: my internship during the Undergraduate Associate Program introduced me to the NJPRO. Now, years later, I serve on the NJPRO board and hope to support current undergraduates with similar policy research opportunities." One Eagleton-NJPRO Research Assistant will be selected annually to receive a $1,000 award. The application will open next Fall semester. All Rutgers sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all three Rutgers campus locations are eligible to apply. Learn more. |
