Capital B News: New York Could Elect the Second Black Republican Woman to Congress

“Instead of saying, ‘We want people with 20 years of experience in elected office,’ there’s been at least somewhat of a shift of saying, ‘Actually, we don’t want people with that extensive of a political résumé. We don’t want a politician. We want somebody who is willing to challenge the status quo... Because Congress, and in particular, Republicans in Congress, are so predominantly white and male, when you are not, by nature of your identity, there is at least the perception that you bring something new.”-Dr. Kelly Dittmar, Director of Research at CAWP.

Rutgers Today: Half of New Jerseyans Oppose Electric Vehicles Mandate, See Environmental and Health Advantages but Economic Drawbacks

“Even as a dozen or so states across the country adopt the same regulations, New Jerseyans are divided on the matter of electric vehicles and the impact they will have...It is an issue that is heavily influenced not only by partisanship but also by a hesitancy that likely stems from a widespread lack of information about the vehicles themselves and what the policy entails – not to mention the financial implications and the notable change this would cause in people’s everyday lives.”-Dr. Ashley Koning, Director of the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling.
