Women, Politics, and Money Watch 2024

The Center for American Women and Politics launched the Women, Money, & Politics Watch 2024 report on gender implications in campaign finance, from donor and recipient perspectives, throughout the 2024 election season. This is the first Women, Money, and Politics Series project to analyze gender and fundraising during a live election cycle.

The State View: A Deep Dive into 10 States, introduces 10 key focus states and provides campaign finance data on fundraising recipients in congressional races in those states. Over the next several months, CAWP will share additional reports on donor demographics in the key focus states, fundraising recipient data for some of the key states, an expansion of recipient data on congressional races in all 50 states, fundraising recipient data in state-level elections in remaining key states, as well as donor gap data in congressional races in all 50 states.

Eagleton in the News

The Hill: Britt backlash stokes GOP fears about losing women voters

“Republicans have now two years in a row have picked a young woman — last year Sarah Huckabee Sanders, this year Katie Britt — to try to shift the image of the Republican Party away from older white men, which is really quite the reality of the party."-Debbie Walsh, Director of CAWP

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Progressives who transformed Pennsylvania politics are set to be a decisive force in 2024

“We saw the downfall in 2016 for [Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham] Clinton of counting on voters who did not show up on Election Day because they were turned off by her candidacy. That could very well happen again."-Dr. Ashley Koning, Director of the Eagleton Center for Public Interest Polling

AL.com: IVF politics loom as Sen. Kate Britt gears up for State of the Union Address

“Historically, rebuttals are used to amplify the contrast between the current administration’s agenda and actions and those of the rebutting party...In that vein, I am not sure that Britt or the Republican Party will feel compelled to speak specifically to the state Supreme Court ruling.”-Dr. Kelly Dittmar, Director of Research at CAWP
