In the Rutgers-Eagleton poll conducted in the run-up to the election last fall, a little over 10% of the registered voters in New Jersey surveyed identified immigration as their top concern, while more than 20% identified the economy as the top issue.
The poll also seemed to detect a partisan divide when it came to voters’ sentiments about the top issues, including immigration and the economy.

School of Arts and Sciences Senator and Legislative Affairs Chair Christopher Godoy, a School of Arts and Sciences junior, proposed a resolution commending the contributions of the Eagleton Institute of Politics and its Center for Youth Political Participation in motivating and guiding students to vote during the 2024 general election.
The resolution honored faculty and student members alike and swiftly passed through a unanimous hand vote. |
